About Carolyn

Carolyn Beard is a Master of Divinity candidate at Harvard Divinity School. After graduating from Princeton University with a degree in Comparative Literature and certificates in German, Latin, Judaic Studies, and European Cultural Studies, she moved to Cologne, where she spent the 2018-2019 academic year at the Edith Stein Archive with a Fulbright study/research grant. In addition to tracing Stein’s political activity during the Novemberrevolution, she documented her pilgrimage across Europe to the spaces and places important to the life and legacy of Edith Stein. Carolyn is an aspirant to the priesthood in the Episcopal Church/Anglican Communion.
